RedDrop is a small, relatively new initiative which has been conceptualized with the idea of giving back to society and creating a process of goodwill that will hopefully remain on-going. At RedDrop, we have a simple objective; creating a channel between blood donors and recipients, to ensure that each has their requirements fulfilled in an effective and efficient manner.

How does it work?

RedDrop works along very simple lines. We register Blood Donors based on their basic information and contact details, which we verify in order to ensure transparency and improve reliability. Blood Recipients follow a similarly simple and easy process. They are required to fill out some necessary forms; once the information they provide has been authenticated, the request forms are propagated through various channels to ensure that they are met with the most number of suitable matches within a certain defined locality or radius. In order to generate maximum possible leads, we propagate these forms using a variety of platforms such as App Notifications, SMS, Facebook and Twitter, along with other locally designed channels.

COVID-19 – Blood Plasma

Plasma, or simply put, the liquefied component of the human blood, is collected from convalescent patients of COVID-19. These patients have successfully combatted the disease and they in turn develop antibodies within their blood that render them immune towards the virus. These antibodies create and enhance the person’s natural immunity to fight against the disease. Antibodies are naturally occurring proteins that help strengthen an affected patient’s immune system. Recent research studies and trails with Plasma therapy have yielded successful results as treatment against the on-going COVID-19 pandemic. It is a safer and far less intrusive process of treatment that works on building up the body’s immune system through proteins.
